Chapter 3 directly says that anything fun can get stale over time. That's why we skip the third game that Tenna wants us to play. The chapter is intentionally a lot different than the ones that came before to let us know that we shouldn't expect the same tropes for every chapter going forward. I think it does this pretty well.
