I was walking into whole foods the other day and this group of younger black males walked past, and one of them, he looked like a manosphere-adjacent with a beard and a sportsball jersey with his favorite "player number" stenciled on it (probably listens to masculinity crisis podcasts), was like "bro, wait up, we gotta stop at whole foods" and the "bros" were looking at him like wtf let's go already and he practically stamped his feet and was like "I SAID, 'CAUSE I WANT OYSTERS NIGGA"

the reason this was funny to me is that oysters are something commonly thought of as effete and trifling in my cultural context, and this guy was yelling to his "bros" about them in a near-panic like his masculinity depended on it
