The grille itself didn't kill the car, or else the ES would've also died. I'm telling you it was the overall boring 4th gen design. The 2nd and 3rd gens were voluptuous and distinctive enough from the boring ES design. Going to that angular wedge design made it look more like the ES, which had just as much room by the time the 4th gen hit.
