Because it's always some nondescript image of a smudge that could be any number of things, and I say that as someone who is still quite open to the possibility that SOME of these reports may be credible. It is undeniable that it's rather convenient that to this day we just don't have anything that's really definitive. I'm related to someone that helped build the B-2 bomber and you wouldn't believe the kind of work they had to do just to stop people from recording the tail end of the plane for as long as they could.
