Americans are no better than the Gulf Arab countries that are rich because of oil, they're literally only wealthy because of their abundant natural resources:

>freshwater: #3 most freshwater
>maritime water: #2 largest EEZ
>sulfur: #2 most produced
>limestone: #2 most produced
>temperate climate
>natural harbors
It doesn't matter if Johnny is sitting in his basement playing videogames or hard at work in a 9-to-5 shifting money from place to place. America isn't wealthy because they have industrious people (they don't) but because they're standing on mountains of gold under their feet. Americans are economically useless either way.
