>Leave it alone. It's not attacking yet, but you don't want to linger around this creepy thing. Just continue on your way and enter the Scanner partition, you don't want to take any DMIA risks in a hostile environment.
"Nevermind."
"Really? It doesn't look tough at all!"
"It's not about the toughness. Deal was that they'd help us if it doesn't jeopardize the mission. I get the feeling this thing isn't worth it."
Wind gives you an appreciative nod, then signals for the rest of you to move along. The Giromon doesn't bother you when you pass, but it keeps up the manic grin. Once you're further away, you hear an explosion. Your ears would normally be ringing from such a noise, but everything is muted and indistinct in this strange biome. Your hearing is mono-sound, with everything sounding like it's coming from both ears. There's no echo or additional sound effects to follow the loud boom.
When you turn back, you see the tiny speck of a Digimon flinging its explosives at an opponent. The foe is quickly deleted by a chainsaw to the head. It wasn't that much of a pushover after all.

The rest of the journey is not without incident. At some point, the wild Digimon get drawn to your collective data. The sheer amount you're transporting is like a beacon of light in a dark abyss. A swarm of Tentomon attack you all, doing several swooping runs and shooting bolts of electricity at your Digimon. The attack is sudden, but low in intensity. The ranged attackers among the Dogs of War mop them all up, and Kaus Gammamon shoots forward to finish off the stragglers.
You do get to see some of Elecmon's attacks. It's capable of launching several knife-like blades of electric data, as well as shooting singular bolts. Gazimon has a paralytic breath that captures one of the bugs, holding it still for Phascomon to finish off.
Deleting the mob causes other observers to hold back. You see all sorts of Digimon watching from afar as you make your way to your goal.
Finally, Wind sighs in relief and points to a large, flat platform at the end of the rings. You all land steadily, and you feel the solid EM bridge beneath your feet.
"Okay. Now we just walk forward, and we'll be inside the partition."
Up ahead is a watery-looking barrier, pulsating with waves of static. Wind moves through first, leading the way into the indexing dish. It's the same sort of barrier that Commandramon passed through when leaving the mall.
"What's that?" Bella mumbles.
"It must be where the partition opens up to the network. I've seen one before. You can just walk through, he's fine. Hey- check your VPNS." You say to the others.
They all pause to ensure that it's active, before filing in one at a time. You anchor the lifeline before heading in. You've confirmed with Wind and Squid that you'll be using the same entry and exit point, so it'll be waiting here for you later. You give it an experimental tug, then slip through the barrier yourself.
