I feel like I get an opposite enjoyment out of it to most people. Rather than a snuff and degrading thing, I like petrification for creating statues that are more than just statues. Made of stone, they're sturdy and timeless, but also so delicate. And they're beautiful, stuck in place every detail is fully exposed to admire.
This angle isn't that common though, and 90% of petrification contradicts it, I try not to kink shame, but it's hard to when so much petrification is death or hell. I perfer statues that keep their dignity, having a noble purpose in being frozen forever, or that eventually get revived. My ideal fantasies are less "Innocent girl gets petrified and nobody ever finds her." and more "Holy knight petrified and displayed in capital to revive in it's hour of greatest need" or "Man watches over and protects his petrified wife waiting for the spell to be broken."
