Right now I'd say it looks like it's doing okay for a remaster of an old cult classic that's a niche within a niche. As far as physical copies go, we only know that in Japan it's sold around 50k across all platforms. Steam player count isn't reliable because Nocturne only ever got a few hundred shy of roughly 2k despite selling way more than that, and we don't really know how the digital sales look. It was never going to sell gorillions of dollars but it didn't flop.

Like shit, if Yamai has his way. He mentioned he wanted to have a Raidou 3 take place in the modern day which throws out the two things people love about the games the most: the characters (who would all be dead besides Gouto and I guess Rasputin) and the setting that makes it unique from, well, every other SMT game that takes place in a modern setting already. That and no Raidou XIV, no buy, at least for me.
