I am philosemitic but I also don’t let myself my fall into the obsession that Jews as we know them are really anything more than a self fulfilling prophecy and I think focus on Jews as we know them only feeds the egos of Jews. What I mean by Jews as we know them is that the people we know as Jews are just people over generations trying to aspire to some Jewishness reaching all the way back to the ancient world. I respect the people we know as Ashkenazi Jews a lot in particular and I respect them for becoming what they aspired to be. They’re like a race that exhibit the fictional trope of Becoming the Mask. Ashkenazi Jews inspire other unrelated to become like them even when it doesn’t sense and to embrace all of their stereotypes and become the villain like pic related.
