He doesn't need support anymore this is his second term. Happens every time a president is serving a second term, they pass all of the most unpopular bills because they know they wont run again. He could care less what his voter base thinks. Hell they probably already have the next election results sitting on someone's desk.

Well said Sweden. He went back on his word and now people are ditching him. It doesn't matter though, this is his last term in office. All Presidents go mask off in their 2nd term.
