Vegetarianism is exclusive only to Aryans (Indians).
Non Aryans can't really understand why it's wrong to eat living beings if you don't have to.
Chinks and Whites are especially just mechanical in their thinking (Animals = Food).
Deviating from that is basically impossible for them except for outliers.
