we actually import our cat litter from Germany, believe it or not (found a cheaper outlet than Amazon, subsequently). It's made from some unscented wood chips heat-treated to be super absorbent. We mix it with unscented bentonite clay litter and combined with our raw chicken + supplements diet, there is literally zero smell and it clumps really well.
