because, femalechama, males and females are biologically and psychologically different and, whether they consciously realize it or not, men view all other men as sexual competition in terms of acquiring a mate and are also sexually attracted to basically any and all women with rare exceptions - due to being programmed to want to have as many offspring as possible - and as such become attached romantically to more women more easily than women do to men for much simpler reasons. This is then combined with the fact that due to modern women being far more selective and having far higher (and more impossible) standards in the men they select than in the past, modern men are extremely starved of affection from females on a day to day basis and because it is weebshit, vtubing inherently appeals to autistic males (who are even more likely to have even less female attention than normal males) as such the primary audience for vtubers are very attention-starved autistic males who get attached to females that give them any amount of intimate attention very easily; therefore it upsets them because it means they are being selected against and rejected yet again.
