That's not even close to the point. It's like gunpla. People buy kits from Bandai even though they cost twice to three times as much as third-party kits. Why? Because they're attached to the specific model of mobile suit they watched in the anime or read in the manga. Chinese manufacturers can make completely different suits that some would say look much better, but there's no connection there. No one will spend anywhere near the same amount of money on them.
The same amount of plastic can make up a Fubuki nendo and an Iofi nendo, but one will sell vastly more for a reason.
