When I visited Amsterdam for the first time, I didn't know that their trams had separate entrances and exits. I just thought you could enter/exit through any opening like any other public transportation in any other city.

So I absentmindedly entered a tram through the exit. Then I hear a voice over the loudspeaker.
>"Hey man, you gotta go in through the entrance!"
>"Come on, man, get out and try again!"
By then, the tram's doors had shut and started moving.
>"Get your ass over here!"

So there's a service desk in the middle of the tram. Pic related. Unlike the pic, the man behind the desk wasn't an old Dutch man, it was a young Surinamese man. He proceeded to give me a loud tongue-lashing over what I did was illegal, and if the public transport authorities happened to see this, I would be fined. There was no professionalism to be had, he was keeping it real.
"You can't fucking do that shit! You want to spend your money on weed and bitches, not on transportation fines! I'm not mad at you, I just want to keep you out of trouble!"

Then at some point he forgot that he was giving me an ass-chewing and pulled out an Amsterdam tourist brochure. On the back, in the Notes section, he started writing down names of his favorite restaurants, places to get weed, and a VR arcade.

I wasn't even mad at him. After years of watching so many comedy movies, being yelled at by a black man with a funny accent just doesn't fill me with anger, fear, or hatred. I was actually trying really hard not to laugh.
