"No, that wouldn't make any sens-" Herta paused, a smug smile crawling onto her face. "Actually, Master, that's genius idea! And if Aila hangs around the Holy Haven you built me often enough she'll slowly fall under your influence, Master. And you're way better than that dumb stinky nerd goddess." You didn't know what she meant by 'your influence' but it sounded like something you were gonna talk to her about later.
"Hold on, let me get this right; you're saying there's more than one Saintess?" You asked, trying to change the subject before Herta crystalized a reckless plan in her mind.
"Well, yeah. Probably." She shrugged. "It's not like there's a hard limit in this universe. I know there's a Saintess that uses my blessings somewhere else in the world. Probably an elvish High Priestess."
"So we're also dealing with a girl Pope too?" Your question was only half rhetorical. "Do you know where the other Saintesses are?"
"How would I know?" Herta flopped down, turning around and resting her head on your lap again. "The lore didn't really get into details about modern age Saintesses."
"You useless goddess." You muttered, giving her posterior another slap.
"Master is so wonderfully cruel to me~" She appreciated it.
"Sort of cheapens things to have multiple living Saintesses at once, don't you think?" You ignored her moans. You were more used to there being only one Saintess in shows that had the trope, though having more than one wasn't completely unheard of. Still you liked the standard cliche better.
"I agree." Herta nodded. "The more Saintesses there are, the less powerful they become. The less powerful they become, the harder it is to purge magical corruption. The lore said that there was only one Saintess back when the Demon Lord was around. She single-handedly purged tons of corruption. But then she got beaten before she could join the Heroes' Party, and the world was without a Saintess for a few years."
"Did she straight up die?" You were a bit surprised.
"Well, no. She got captured by a magic crystal, body and soul. Sort of like what happened to Yumi, except way stronger and the crystal was life-sized and her body was also encased in a magical crystal."
Her mention of the ghostgirl made you consider what Yumi was up to. Yumi insisted on remaining in the castle at least until it was dark outside, despite getting multiple offers and chances to accompany you and your wives. Right now she was likely reading and practicing with the magic crystal wand that was once her prison. At least the ghostgirl now had some company in the form of Bertha, affected by morning sickness as she might be.
"Eventually," Herta continues "A bunch of Savants freed her with the help of the Everlasting Empire. And then she led armies against the Demon Lord, and then they all defeated the demons and killed the Demon Lord.

"Now, this is exactly what I mean." Nicodemus chuckles once again. "Normally a Savant would become violent, start yelling, or simply storm away when one refused to play along with whatever their eccentricities are. Speaking of, would you not consider that your wife is a fae? There are theories circulating that the fae are closer than most to divine power, which could explain the divine power flowing from her."
"Her ancestry is a mystery to me." You said, technically not lying. "People have always assumed she's a human from a lack of evidence to the contrary."
"Yeah!" Herta said enthusiastically. "Also, a fairy? Pff, no way," She smirked, "Fairies are an afterthought in every world they're in. Well, except the ones that they aren't an afterthought in, I guess. Fairies might seem like they're closer to divine power because they were made with what's basically the Holy Magic leftovers of the gods when creating a universe. I mean, the reason why pureblooded fairies don't age is because we- uh, I mean, the gods, didn't bother to give them an expiration date. But hey, the least prankster types of fairies are good at fighting against corruption, though they mostly just stay in the backlines while those blessed by the gods do the actual fighting-"
"John Doe," Nicodemus whispered as Herta continued speaking. "You should keep an eye on this first wife of yours. Savants like her tend to be, ahem, a bit much."
"Don't worry. I make sure to keep her on a tight leash." You say loud enough for her to hear.
"Kyaah~! Master is going to-!"
"Anyway, doc," You interrupt your first slave-wife again, not really feeling like processing whatever new world-changing revelations this useless goddess was deciding to drop on you. You wondered how she knew so much about fairy creation when she was pretty ignorant on almost everything else in this world. "Could you be able to tell me my wife's due date?"
"In part, I can." Said Nicodemus, "Considering she is clearly a Savant and likely not a full human, and the amount she's physically grown, I can safely assume she has around 2 to 5 months left. Likely somewhere in the middle, if she's a fae. And, this is just an aside, but even if she's a fae that's able to handle the stress of so much Holy Magic, I strongly urge you to read the pamphlet I made for you."
"Right, about that," You clear your throat, "I lost it."
Nicodemus sighs.

The good doctor was still as jolly and rambled as much as ever, despite the little hiccup with you and Herta, as he wrote out another set of recommendations. He made sure all your wives were alright. These check-ups were tedious to go through; mostly uneventful as they seemed to stretch and merge with one another.
