Humanity is in an entropic environment, because of this, there is a set context for our demise.
God cursed man with entropy in the Garden for the basis of getting man to understand that living in sin sucks anyway, and the point of death was to keep man from loving it and not allowing him to take comfort in himself or his environment. This was by design, God's plan to get you to trust Jesus.
Christianity isn't necessarily about religion, if all you have to do to go to heaven is believe the gospel, then by the gospels very ontology, its actually condemning religion, because entropy is just going to destroy all of this anyway. Which means the basis for salvation has nothing to do with what you do, because you already screwed up. God needs you to do something specific with your mind, not your body. You're supposed to take what Jesus did at the cross to mean you're going to heaven because God paid for your sins, died, was buried, and rose again on the third day.
Thats it. What you see with (religion) now that its left over, is actually evidence of what Satan did at the garden. Entropy and religion are not necessary unless there is a problem, Satan tempted us with knowledge between good and evil. Now its not the knowledge itself that is the problem. Atheists love to attack that for free will arguements. It's the simple fact that this spiritually blinds you into becoming prideful, because from God's perspective man should need anything or want anything. But because of this idolistic pride which comes from doing whats expected of you, and thinking you're better because of it, God had to literally put us in a box and fix the shit himself.
Spiritually we're corrupted, which is why the body is flat out overiding our morality 90% of the time. (Maslow Hierachy) in this case. What God did with the Gospel at the cross was mitigate the damage of the knowledge between good and evil. Using Grace, he destroys pride.
