I cosplayed a vault dweller, but with lots of detail in my cosplay, little trinkets from the wasteland like a pipe pistol, and bottle caps. i would give caps to anyone who played fallout and made it known to me.

Then, this one really normal looking woman with her baby approaches me, she's actually good looking and a healthy weight, doesn't look like some kind of degenerate gamer but says she's secretly a massive gamer, played fallout since fallout 1! I give her a bottle cap and she is made up, she can't get over seeing a vault dweller irl and she notices all the little details in my cosplay, I think it was possibly the highlight of the con for her. no one else has ever appreciated one of my cosplays as much.
