The field of pink and gold is the festival.
So, Asgore, Ice-e sponsorships, Catti and Jock, Jackenstein (if you saved him in the pacifist route), the carousel, the coaster, and Asriel will be there, Asgore cuts the ground and then the adventure begins.
It’s the final time of fun. Before you play chapter 6 and deal with the Undyne and Dess situation.

It could be that in chapter 5, Pink and Gold is a result of Asgore contributing his flowers to the festival, with ICE-E sponsoring it with their new mascot (Pizzarina…), with decorations from the church and other could’ve dark-worlds.
So, Catti, Jockington, Noelle, and Susie are caught up with it in their festival outfits. Noelle’s dark world outfit remains the same, but Susie will be wearing the gown still and be forced to do the adventure in it. And also, Asriel is there.
