Infinite doesn't mean unchanging. What are you on about? A sine wave is infinitely long in mathematics but it constantly goes up and down. Again we know for a fact that under our current laws of thermodynamics energy DOES last forever. It can't be created or destroyed and yet it can change form... like the universe. It is a shift in our understanding to try to claim otherwise.
