To automate book crafting I just need to figure out a way to get Farmer's Delight canvas. Probably a deployer holding a knife, then to decide whether it will also harvest a field like this or maybe to go for a microfarm with bonemeal. The knife thankfully does not use durability.
Also, large brick factory halls will be built to enclose the farms but that's going to take a while.
