The world isn’t the same as 2000 years ago. You need to be a bigger entity than a single small country to have true sovereignty and to be able to look for your own interests. Just because EU has had same kind of social policy as USA democrats, doesn’t mean it’s controlled by it. Trump is right in seething about EU, because he knows it stands in way of USA controlling developed europe like back during europe’s darkest hour after WW2.

Also we need to get into africa again for resources. And develop our own space program.
