From the very young age you are fed simplistic sloppy tales of good side-bad side. Then you taught at school subverted and revisioned history of stark good guys winning against bad guys.Then it continues with current hollywood slop of good guy vs bad guy. Then, and only last, comes politics. It specifically re-written and presented in a such a way that your brain connects all previous experiences and falls for good guy-bad guy narrative again. Its also never about nations or groups of people or ideologies, its just one guy against other, trump vs putin etc.
