I know what they're supposed to be for. I'm just commenting at how HORRIBLY timed and badly placed they are. Like image related, I'm guessing is "intended" to be a flash for a backswing of the hook against the spear? But just looks like it's happening as he's putting his palm against the wood of the spear and pushing it away.
And during the pan out you have flashes happening before anyone even does anything at all, as if the flashes are timed to keyframes that just don't actually exist(which is probably more likely than it sounds, since a lot of the animation between characters seem awkwardly staggered as if one figure is a few frames behind the other).
>What's your history with action movies? Are you a Michael Mann fan?
I honestly can't say I've bothered watching many movies over the last few years at all. Prior to that though I usually didn't bother with most "high octane hollywood" style action movies. I generally liked Tarantino type stuff or HK style kung fu movies.
While I recognize Michael Mann and some of the movies he's worked on I don't think I've seen or at least, haven't intentionally seen anything from them.
