I'm gay. Male yaoi enjoyers aren't that rare, especially on 4chan - a lot of lonely gay guys who use imageboards enjoy cute male stuff. Most of the posters on /cm/ and the such are probably men. Looking at art of gay guys in cute, idealized relationships as a lonely gay guy yourself can be comforting. And boys are just beautiful in general so there's no reason why you wouldn't look at drawings of them.
I wouldn't say that I'm a true "fundanshi", though, since I don't really enjoy the same shit that fujos do, and so I'm not a real male fujoshi. I've tried to join fujoshi Discord servers before in order to try to make some friends with similar interests, but like I said, real fujos are usually into weird Korean webtoons, which I'm not a fan of. I'm also not really a part of any fandoms, and I don't have any particular ships I obsess over - I have no real experience with fujo culture. I'm only really a fudanshi if you use the most basic definition possible of "man who likes fictional gay stuff".
I don't actually have a good reason for posting in this thread, lol. I suppose I'm just bored and want to blogpost about my own experiences with cute boy media, maybe to get a reply and start a short conversation like the one we're having now. I figured it wouldnt be a big problem to do this since these threads always die with three replies.

Fujoshis don't really fetishize gay men though. They fetishize yaoi boys, which usually just act like women in yaoi targeted at females. And even so, I don't really see the problem with being "fetishized", considering that the worst that a fujo can do is be annoying online.
