Masahiro Ito should have far more input into the game's plot I feel. He clearly had a different vision and it was MUCH better. Maybe some other writers at silent didn't get it, but Ito did. His designs are still stunning. It's so good it makes modern equivalent look like slop with no thought or "primal engagement" with what they represent. The Bacon-esque aspects of it, only with his own unique twist.
