That adds up when you have to produce hundreds of thousands of copies, not to mention you also have to pay the distributor. Walmart, Best Buy, Amazon all need their cut.
Then it's not like they are going to be $80 forever. Sales will reach a point where it barely makes sense to produce copies for $10-15 games.
