Apparently the new Guilty Gear anime has petrification in it, as it features a scene of Testament getting turned to stone. It's brief but we see a single shot of Testament screaming in pain as the stone quickly overtakes the face. Testament's new pose is one of terror and very dramatically framed as well. Long hair and clothes caught in a standstill flowing motion, fingers harshly curled to accentuate the pain of petrifying, and the beautiful splotched texture. It's supposed to be a moment of terror, but Testament's lifeless, rigid form is simply stunning.
The narration implies this can happen to all fighters, so it would be nice to see some of the hotter babes of GG to turn (Baiken, Jack-O, A.B.A. and Elphelt are definitely worthy of that treatment) but we'll have to wait and see.
