Nothing wrong with thinking this imo. Nobody wants to wage anymore, not when your money gets stolen by ridiculous taxes and is send to corrupt people in power. Also waging for a lifetime still won't get most people to retirement. The idea of work as we know it is a day to day grind to sustain yourself and your family. Nothing about it is enriching or rewarding. Work should be doing something out of your own free will for a cause with no expectation of reward. That meaning gets twisted in today's world where it's all about paying bills jus to survive. We are nowhere near the life we should all be living and it's no surprise that the system has its toll on us. Something's got to give. Try to stay mentally strong more than anything anon, good things will come in time. Sometimes, what is a bad thing at the time, can be a catalyst for changing things for the better. And you will only know it when looking back in hindsight, thinking "wow, if that never happened, would I have gone down this path that led me to where I am now, where I'm much better?" Speaking from personal experience. Sometimes things are weird like that.
