Feelings make no difference to truth, and if you think about it very often, chances are that you're consumed by your desire to "do something" about it.
If Christ already took away the sin of the world, what can you add to this? If there was something you could "do" why did he have to die?
The reason John the Baptist was the greatest born man, according to Jesus, is because his testimony was true. And that testimony was, "Behold the lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world."
We're already in hell, fren. One day, this rock will be physically consumed by fire, God exists outside of time and place and let us know this. So don't worry, be happy that you're redeemer lives and that because of that fact so do you. Let the fools be fooled in their foolishness and just continue to choose life.

Eternity is a long time fren, but it begins now, always here and now. You choose how to perceive things, how to act, and what is true and false. Being present in the now, being loving in the now, being compassionate in the now is always on the table, yet most are consumed by envy and greed, deceived by the temporal existence they are experiencing.
If one knows that death is inevitable for the flesh, why choose to live under its desire?
