They should have literally done what we did in afghanistan. Regime change in like a week. They failed with SEAD/DEAD and maneuver,. Air Superiority was not established. And had to settle with attrition. This is why they aren't the west, in terms of military success and doctrine. Big fail boys who lose 100s of thousands to try and take a place that is contiguous as a land mass.
