Deathroot is nothing but the Rune of Death itself spreading, something which was forcibly removed. There's nothing inherently flawed or terrible about it. Those lost in Death, that had been completely separated from Order, now have an actual guidance and can rise again. Embedding the Rune of Death as it is restored in the Elden Ring itself is one of the ending and one which restores the Order in the Lands Between. Only Fundamentalists think that's bad because it's not their chosen flavour of cycle of life
