Dagda 776, just make it a small scale war about petty noble dissent where they're not satisfied with the way lands are divided post Edelsharts war, or Dagda tries bullshit with Almyra to start a war on both sides. Or maybe involve those random ass islands off the coast of Fodlan that never got explored like Morfis and Albinia or whatever the hell they were called. If Shamir is the main character she'd be doing mercenary style work for the church on secret small scale missions that carry heavy consequences if not dealt with in time.
