I'm very sure next to nothing is mentioned about angmar, except the witchking plotline. There's many people among the norths, maybe some are corrupted, others just reclusive. Anyway none of them make a drama about being invincible and wanting to die and sail to america to finally die, oh how I hate the ending. Book I is the best imo
