Every single time the US preps for and conducts a major war it engages in wide spread and far reaching censorship.
>During the Civil War, Lincoln suspended habeas corpus.
>during WWI, Wilson pushed through massive anti-treason laws and free speech restrictions
>German American organizations were cracked down on and busted up alongside this
>during WWII, FDR interred Japanese people, censored the press, and legally prosecuted critics of the war
>not to mention how nazi sympathizers were straight up imprisoned
Might be why every single western country is employing mass censorship at the same time. Thoughts?
