They had their own goals as long as Rocks was winning. Rocks literally says hes gonna "split" the money from the Hachinosu heist, its just individualism for these people. They all enjoyed when Rocks was consistently winning and making them money but when I assume he was losing in God Valley no one was willing to give their lives for him so most probably just ran away when faced with overwhelming force and they probably also knew that they would spend the rest of their lives in Impel Down when caught by the Navy/HKs. Saturn was there in God Valley, he himself points out how the SHs are the rare type of pirates that stick together, even Robin said piracy and alliances are rife with betrayal and backstabbing. BB has largely the same mentality and its gonna cost him sooner or later
