I just realized something, how the actual fuck is Toy Story 5 gonna utilize all the characters?
The first Toy Story had 2 main toys in the cast (Woody and Buzz), and 4 major toys (Potato Head, Hamm, Rex, and Slinky) which would appear in the next films, that’s 7 characters to work with, also including Mrs. Potato Head who gets introduced at the end of the film.
Toy Story 2 added Jessie, Bullseye, and the three little green men to the main cast, adding up to 10 main characters. (the little green men grouped together as one due to them basically being the same) All these characters get to play a role in Toy Story 3 and are utilized well in that film.
Then Toy Story 3 added Pricklepants, Trixie, Dolly, and Buttercup, that’s 14 MAIN CHARACTERS NOW, and most of them were sidelined and barely did anything in Toy Story 4. Now we have Forky in the main cast, and seeing that Woody has returned it’s safe to assume the lost toys (Duke, Ducky, Bunny, Bo) will return as well, giving as a cast of 19 MAJOR CHARACTERS.
The film barely utilized the whole cast in TS4, a film thats supposed to have 19 major characters who are all supposed to play a role in the story is destined to implode.
