A lot of infection occurs from tainted medical supplies (instruments, biological resources, etc).
Canada had an incident in the past where thousands of people got HIV from infected blood. As a result the screening and testing procedures were changed in order to lower the likelihood of it happening again. Though recently thanks to LGBBQMP3 (((international activism))) one of the most effective screening methods has been abolished as donors are no longer asked "Are you a practising homosexual?". This question used to eliminate the vast majority of tainted sources. If I recall correctly the UK has had multiple such incidents, with their government response being "deal with it losers".
Though like I mentioned earlier aside from biological resources (blood and organs) anything that can get blood on it can be an infection point. Does the private clinic someone goes to really have the same hygiene standards as a hospital? There are all sorts of malpractice stories surrounding them in Canada. What about the hygiene standards of a tattoo parlour?
