Kuroko no basket is insane for this one (see pic related)
I'll go from left to right.
>Taiga Kagami, The MC's best friend/other part of their basketball duo even has a double word play in his name: ka (fire) gami (god). He's very fiery and really good. But Kagami also means mirror, and his talent is that he acts like a mirror, reflecting his opponents strengths/moves. Also has red hair.
tai (great) self (ga), he has a huge ego.
>Baby blue haired guy, the MC, is called Tetsuya Kuroko, Kuro (black) ko (child) as. Black is the color of unseen stagehands in a play, designed to be ignored/invisible, just like how he plays basketball. Makes sense if you've ever seen kabuki theatre. He basically makes himself unseen and passes really quick
> Blond guy: Ryouta Kise. Ryo (cool) ta (great). Ki (yellow) se (rapid, as in rapid flowing river). This guy thinks he's a cool hotshot and his talent is literally copying someone else's talent. Literally "be like water, friend" as bruce lee said. Formless and adaptive.
