As someone that used to hoard hacked consoles to play games in the original hardware, emulators are fine for most games, all you need is a crt, hell sometimes rgb mode is enough, you will sooner or later run into the decision of which version of the game you will play since ther4 is always differences between platforms and they always have disadvantages and differences that you won't know unless you look up for spoilers or play different consoles (why is there no chaos emeralds level in Sega Superstars Tennis on the wii? what the fuck nintendo?)
