I don't mind going alone now but as a teenager it was ahhh:
>Be teenager and have nothing to do one afternoon.
>Friends/family were all busy.
>Went to the cinema to see the third Pirates of the Caribbean movie just because it was something to do.
>Theatre was packed because it had only recently come out and it was a weekend.
>For some fucking reason half way through they decided to have an unplanned intermission to sell more snacks to the packed audience.
>Lights came on and a bunch of people from my school several rows down saw me, recognised me, patronisingly waved and started talking about how I was alone (either seat next to me was empty).
>Seriously, lights went boom and it was like they instantly noticed/zeroed-in on me
