Not only did he not say that, it wouldn't make any sense to believe so. Primarily the pilgrims from Europe were not voluntary migrants, they were the worst, most fanatical christschizos of Europe who had been exiled and a HUGE amount were literally emptied from all the mental asylums across the continent and just dumped in USA. Thats probably why America has a much bigger mental health and medication crisis, and far more violent crime and absurd crime like serial killers than Europe, the bloodlines largely descend from those with inheritable mental illnesses.

So really, Americans are a result of dysgenics. Only the small minority who were there during the colony & exploration era were genetically strong people with brave pioneering spirits. Over 99% of modern Americans descend from those dysgenics who were exiled there after independence.
