i thought i'd start with a dirt cheap one in case the whole project went sideways
the plan was to get a better one if i liked it but it's been 3-4 months and i haven't felt the need to upgrade
the resolution is a tiny bit blurry but it's projected onto a (white) wall that isn't exactly perfect
you might need to open it up and clean the inside of it first time time you use it, but it's easy enough and comes with instructions and cleaning stuff
