I was in the Army for nine years. I was issued an M16A2. I was not allowed to hold it by the carrying handle, nor was I allowed to use three round burst. Once I was allowed to attach an M203 but could not use it. When I asked why I was told to shut the fuck up and follow orders. Why was I, and hundreds of other soldiers, not trusted to use the basic functions of our weapons, /k/?
