The only place on the Earth that's safe is Easter Island. Nobody actively targets it (afaik), and, given the prevailing winds and because of its position thousands of miles from anything important, even fallout won't reach it. Given its latitude, you'd likely never even notice a nuclear winter or, worst case, maybe it turns into like Michigan or something with distinct seasons instead of being considered tropical rainforest.
Only thing about Easter Island: Ain't shit going on there. Unless you want to be a fisherman, and then, you're competing against the entire God damned island. They don't even carve heads any more! Can you believe it? The one thing they're known for and they don't even bother.
