In my experience, fighting sports are preferable. Weightlifting with cardio comes next. Choose what you are drawn to and commit to it, and do not discount the benefits of healthy nutritional and sleeping habits. Remember, you do not submit to it nor the connotations that come with it. You commit to it because it furthers the manifestation of you and your ability to achieve what you wish to achieve. Do not make the mistake of letting the construct of what a lifter, a runner or a fighter is become all that you are; employ it and make it a part of who you are if it is a manifestation of you.
This will aide you in the realisation of yourself. It is impossible to do so otherwise. As you realise your mind and your spirit, so must you realise your body. It will strengthen you spiritually, just as your spiritual achievements will bolster your physical ones.
Once the two are at least close to being in unison, you will begin to notice everything I have laid out. It will begin with those around you treating you differently and more favourably, with you more freely asserting yourself not via intimidation, but via your charm, your confidence and security within who you are manifesting from within. Afterwards, you will realise it in the spiritual matters, too, in similar ways.
Leave being an entirely spiritual person to those who wish to abdicate their physical manifestation as early as possible so they can be nothing but spirit, and be nothing but spirit to the point of destroying even their spirit when dissolving themselves within the greater other outside of themselves that they call Yahweh.
Leave it to them to pray, ask and beg for favours because they dare not shoulder the burdens of their actions, be they selfish or selfless, and because they are terrified of that which dwells within them.
Leave it to them to be afraid of themselves and this world.
Manifest and unassailably assert all that you are, both in spirit and in body, and become the greater you.
