Eh, regardless of the salute, Elon is legitimately shows fascist tendencies. He frequently follows and shares posts from neo-Nazis and other far right figures. At the very least he has some strong white nationalist and authoritarian leanings. It's fair to hate Elon. Twitter was also ruined by him, which is amazing because the previous owners were already terrible.

He's a lame person in general regardless of his views, so I can't blame anybody for hating him.
