What keeps me invested in Nikke is the genuinely entertaining stories and the minigames with each major event.
I've long been at a point where I just run through all content with my best units. The only challenge are solo raids and those are just "who deals the most damage", where whales always win the top rewards, so it's no use even trying.
Nikke doesn't have the best core gameplay out of the other gachas, but to just disregard all of them because "gachashit" is incredibly asinine. Something like Arknights is genuinely fun if you're a fan of TD games and there's plenty of Action RPG / TPS / TRPG gachas where the gameplay is akin to any other game of those genres.
