I'm pointing this out because it's just a matter of time before scientists find the key to actually have the capacity to read mind and be able to know what people are thinking.

At first they're going to force murderers and dangerous individuals to get the procedure done (as an alternative to death sentence or prison for life) and after those guinea pig have passed the test and everything is safe there should be an actual demand for this since people who don't have anything to hide would be able to be tracked and protected 24/7 with those. Frauds and crime would be in sharp decline if a lot of people would actually just accept it.
