The problem is not in parental control software being "inadequate", there will always be edge cases but if you take care of all the popular alternatives then they won't be able to get to most of the niche ones either. This is the problem, these FAGGOTS are absolutist and cannot take ANY slipup even if it doesn't impact much. With modern tech, the filters could straight up be updated as new sites roll in. It's NOT an issue if anyone made a real effort. Ban most of the shit on ThePornDude and you've covered 99% of edge cases.
Parents should be educated to KNOW this but they are lazy or arrogant or not even educated in HOW to parent their kids. Nowadays people just throw Cocomelon on an iPad in front of their kid and call it a day and then wonder why they're dopamine obsessed 24/7 and act like they have ADHD and can't read or learn.
The issue is always with parenting because they either don't want to implement parental control shit because they suck at IT or they don't wanna keep their kids away from getting addicted to iPads and phones because they are lazy motherfuckers who don't wanna learn how to parent.
Most kids in the 2000s weren't computer nerds, it was only circa 2009 and until the mid-2010s where every fucker on the street started getting a phone with social media. Guess when all the annoying internet extremism and activist shit started? Right there, because these annoying parties who wanna push and control everything suddenly lived on the net like only people who gamed, worked or were computer nerds did before them.
Take the smart devices out of kids' hands and give them access to them when they're like 15 or 16 at best, then they'd have already lived a somewhat rich life IRL if they didn't git gud at desktops.
